The Masai Mara covers an area of 1,800 square kilometres and is probably one of the most famous reserves in Africa. The most famous act played out annually is the Great Migration, which sees up to two million wildebeest undertake a journey of roughly 1,600 kilometres.

Your adventure begins


Your adventure begins as you drive to Masai Mara National Reserve through the amazing Rift Valley Escarpment.  Depending on time you might stop for a picnic lunch, if not you arrive at your Lodge in time for lunch before you check into our luxury en-suite tented accommodation. With dusk and dawn being the best times to see the wildlife you will head off for a late afternoon/early evening game drive before returning for dinner at the lodge.

Breakfast & game drive


A 7a.m. Breakfast followed by a game drive, picnic lunch and a cultural visit to a Masai Village arriving back at the Lodge in time to relax by the pool before drinks and dinner. After dinner you will be ready to fall into bed marvelling at all you’ve seen and an early night might be wise as you will be up early for a dawn game drive.

Dawn game drive


A wake-up call with a cup of coffee or tea before heading to the vehicles for a dawn game drive. After breakfast we wave goodbye to Masai Mara and head back to Nairobi for your evening flight.

Hippo Look-out on Lake Victoria

This trip provides you with the unique opportunity to enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the largest tropical lake in the world, Lake Victoria, where you can find a wide variety of wildlife, including; birds, snakes, lizards and hippos.  You will also be able to witness the fishing activity that takes place on the lake, which provides an essential source of food for the local people.

Discover Kakamega Forest

It is Kenya’s only tropical rainforest and is said to be Kenya’s last remnant of the ancient Guineo-Congolian rainforest that once spanned the continent. At 240 square kilometres, Kakamega Forest is the largest in Western Kenya and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. This trip will have you exploring the true beauty of the forest, including its impressive 900 different types of plant, 7 species of primates, 410 bird species, 487 types of butterfly and 33 species of snake.

Trek to the top and be prepared for truly breathtaking views of the Rainforest. Whether you are an avid bird-watcher, butterfly collector or simply have an appreciation for magnificent nature, this memorable trip through the enchanting Rainforest is one that you really don’t want to miss!  TIP: Wear your best walking shoes.

Kisumu Museum

The museum in Kisumu is a great way to spend half a day for those looking to brush up on the cultural history of Western Kenya. Along with some fascinating exhibits such as the Luo Homestead, it is also home to diverse collection of flora and fauna species, most notably two African crocodiles and a variety of larger snakes typically found in the Western region.

Crying Stone

Standing at an imposing 40 metres tall, the Crying Stone remains one of the region’s most popular tourist attractions for its resemblance to a gowned figure in perpetual tears. This attraction also has a long history with the local community, who see it as the ideal place conduct religious ceremonies, traditional dances, cock fights, bunyala wrestling and many other activities.

Craft Market

The Craft Market in Kisumu is the perfect place to practice your haggling skills with the local traders and stock up on gifts (mostly wood-carved items) for family and friends.
