When you volunteer with The Nasio Trust in Northwest Kenya, you’ll step into the heart of a community and play a real part in changing lives, including your own. Whether you’re helping children learn and play in our early childhood centres, serving warm, nutritious meals at the porridge kitchen, or building a safe, permanent home for a family in need, your work will have a lasting impact.
It’s a chance to learn, to give back, and to return home with a new perspective — inspired by the people you meet and the difference you’ve made.
What We Offer
We design tailor-made gap year packages to suit your interests, time frame, and growth goals. Whether you have 10 days or several months, we’ll build a journey that’s meaningful, flexible, and safe.
Included in your package:
- All food, accommodation, and daily activities
- Internal transport, airport transfers, and travel logistics
- Pre-departure support from the UK team
- On-the-ground local support in Kenya
- Private security and 24-hour backup from our staff
You’ll also fundraise a minimum of £350, which helps cover project costs, staff support, and the community work you’ll contribute to (for example, building a home for a family in need).
Not included:
- International & domestic flights, visas
- Vaccinations, antimalarials
- Personal travel & medical insurance
- Extra drinks, tips, souvenirs
We ask for a £150 deposit at booking; the balance is due four weeks before departure. Once you’re in Kenya, if you wish to stay longer after your initial period, you can extend for only £150 per week.
