1. All travel and associated arrangements for Nasio Trust Volunteering trips are made by a UK Trustee or staff member. In making these arrangements, The Nasio Trust is acting as your agent and is unable to accept liability for any loss or damage, beyond its statutory liability, or for cancellation of the event for any reason out of its control.
  2. I understand that in accepting a position on the trip, I am committing myself to act in compliance with the beliefs, values, policies and processes of The Nasio Trust.
  3. Volunteers must raise any stated minimum fundraising amount before travelling to Kenya. These funds are to help support our work.
  4. You must take out travel insurance covering health, accident and loss, emergency repatriation etc. while you are out of the UK. It is your responsibility to ensure you are adequately covered.
  5. If you make the decision to cancel after having formally registered and cannot find anyone to take your place, any registration deposit and monies raised for (or donated directly to) the Nasio Trust are strictly non-refundable. The Nasio Trust reserves the right to decline refunds of donations as directed by the Charity Act 2011 (section 1.7) which can be found at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2011/25 and states that ‘charities are not permitted to refund donations, other than in specific circumstances’.
  6. You must hold a 10 year passport that is valid for six months after your return to the UK. It is your responsibility to obtain a valid visa (if required) The information supplied regarding passports and visa requirements was correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing. You must check current requirements with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (www.fco.gov.uk) who will provide information on health and security.
  7. All instructions given to you on the event must be observed for your own safety. Participation in this event is at your own risk.
  8. All volunteers are subject to Kenyan data protection laws while they are at our projects and any costs arising from a breach in compliance by volunteers will not be borne by Nasio.
  9. The Nasio Trust reserves the right to amend or change the itinerary without prior notice.
  10. The Nasio Trust reserves the right to not accept a participant onto a trip at any point leading up to the departure date.
  11. Participants will normally only be accepted on a The Nasio Trust overseas visit if they are at least 18 years of age by the first day of the trip. Any Participants that are under 18 years of age on the first day of the trip will only be accepted onto the trip if they are accompanied by a parent / guardian or other adult who are responsible for them. Any Participants under 18 on the first day of the trip must provide a parent / legal guardian consent form agreed with the responsible adult.
