As a volunteer, you will have the chance to engage in a range of impactful projects that directly benefit the community:

  • Women’s Empowerment Programmes
    Support local women in gaining valuable skills and knowledge to improve their livelihoods and become financially independent.
  • Fighting Period Poverty
    Join our efforts to provide menstrual health education and resources, helping eliminate period poverty and ensure every girl has access to the products she needs.
  • Supporting Young Mothers
    Provide mentorship and support to young mothers, guiding them to thrive in their daily lives and fostering better opportunities for their families.
  • Porridge Kitchen
    Volunteer in the porridge kitchen, helping to provide essential nutrition to malnourished children while educating mothers on healthy nutrition practices.

COSTS In addition to covering your personal trip costs, we ask all volunteers to donate or fundraise a suggested minimum of £350 to support the community projects you’ll be part of in Kenya.

These funds help deliver essential work such as building safe homes, improving health services, and supporting local education.

If you are a UK taxpayer, your donation may be eligible for Gift Aid, allowing us to boost your gift by 25% at no extra cost to you.

Every pound makes a difference – and by choosing to give towards the projects you’ll see in action, you directly help us change lives for good.

We ask for a £150 deposit when you book and the full remaining balance must be paid 4 weeks prior to your travel date. Your remaining balance can be paid online with our secure booking system at any time.

You can extend your trip (after the first 14 days) for just £150 per week. Contact us for info.

Day 1


– Depart for Nairobi

Day 2


– Arrive at the guesthouse in Musanda, Kakamega County
– Orientation and tour of the projects, followed by a welcome from our staff

Day 3


– Serve breakfast to our beneficiaries before Church
– Attend Church service at the local Anglican Church of Kenya
– Visit Bukayo Rock for a sunset view

Day 4


– Spend time at Nasio’s Early Childhood Development Centre, interacting with beneficiaries and teachers
– Visit a beneficiary’s home and cook a meal for the family
– Explore the local market

Day 5


– Visit local primary and secondary schools, distribute sanitary napkins to female students
– Lead a health talk with female students
– Visit the original kiosk where Nasio first began

Day 6


– Work with local women’s groups to make soap
– Visit the Nabongo Cultural Centre in Mumias to learn about local tribes

Day 7


– Attend a talk by local women village leaders
– Participate in a peer education session on gender-based violence and HIV awareness

Day 8


– Attend our porridge kitchen
– Shadow maternity nurses at the rural medical centre

Day 9


– Spend time with our young mother’s group
– Farewell party with local music and dance

– Depart to Nairobi with a stop at the Maasai Crafts Market in Kisumu
