If you are planning to visit Africa on holiday or maybe as part of some other charity challenge like climbing Kilimanjaro, you can opt for a shorter package to fit in around the other activities.

Even across as little as 3 days, your volunteering opportunity will give you an incredible insight into the factors that influence the spread of HIV/AIDS in Africa, and the role The Nasio Trust plays in giving communities the opportunity to change their lives.

Whether you decide to get involved with one of our many projects, or help out at the Noah’s Ark or St. Irene’s Day care centres, the time and energy you invest will make an incredible difference to the lives of people in desperate need.

So many of our past and present volunteers have found the experience intensely rewarding on a personal level. Seeing the everyday impact of poverty on the people we work with, puts many first world problems into perspective.

Arrive at Kisumu Airport & Drive To Musanda

In the morning you’ll transfer by plane to Kisumu and then by road to Chief’s Guesthouse in Musanda, stopping along the way to stand on the Equator. Upon arrival in Musanda you’ll settle in and we’ll give you a full welcome briefing and an overview of all the projects including the spirulina greenhouse, our farms & the medical centre.
2

St Irene's & Start a House Build

Kick off day 2 spending some time with the amazing children at St Irene’s early childhood development centre. Play games, sing songs and help out with some teaching before moving on to a home visit to help one of our supported families with some chores. In the afternoon make a start on clearing some land for the construction of a new house with the assistance of our local team.
3

Finish Your House Build & Prepare To Leave

On the morning of your final day you’ll be wrapping up the house build you began the previous afternoon (yes we work that quickly!) and be involved in handing it over to the family who’ll be living there. Then we’ll treat you to a nice lunch and a shower before you get packing to continue on to your next destination, whether it’s returning home or continuing on to a different African adventure.
